Homage to our beloved Dr. Subrata Maitra

Dr. Subrata Maitra, who is no more with us. He was all along a pioneer well-wisher and had a great role in the development of this welfare center. He was the worthy son of renowned lawyer, Politician Orator and Ex-Minister Mr. Kashikanta Maitra and grandson of Pandit Lakshimakanta Maitra. Having passed the MBBS Examination from Calcutta National Medical College he went to England and obtained MRCP Degree from London, Edinburg and Dublin in 1985. In spite of his having such foreign Degree he engaged himself in non Govt. Hospital. He organized a Medical Consortium with the Doctors of Private Hospital and used to go to remote villages to hold Health Camps. He performed the Chairmanship of Multi Disciplinary Expert Group of Health Department of West Bengal Govt.

In spite of his engagement in different sector as a Medical Practitioner he attended different programmes of this welfare centre throughout the year along with his team of Medical consortium and organized Health Camp every now and then he spent a lot irrespective of his benevolent deed for this welfare centre. A part from monetary help time to time, he donated a Digital E.C.G. Machine to this organization, which is performing satisfactory service till now.
Let us take a vow to sacrifice our life for the upliftment of the downtrodden people of our country as Dr. Maitra did in his entire life.

He left this eternity on 17.03.2016 having been attacked with mortal disease like Cancer at the age of fifty nine. May his soul be left in peace for the poor and unreached people ever after his premature death.
